Each session begins with a deep drop into breath. A guided meditation to connect our frequencies, clear the channel through your vessel, and relax your nervous system. Heart open, the process of the Great Mystery will commence. As I hold space for you to share your intentions, emotions, dreams, insights, and manifestation, I will design a short series of sacred embellishment to adorn the temple of your soul. You will have the option to pick which ever design resonates with you the most.
The process of embellishing you will then begin.
We will take a few moments to make sure the placement and size is exactly how you want it, it is helpful if you have an idea of body placement before arriving to make the stenciling process quick and easeful. After your beautiful temple is adorned, we will seal the design with a brief sound bath. I also offer the option for you to purchase your designs as prints.

I am Grooovy, child of the Sun, Founder of New Myth Ink. I have been designing and creating with whatever
I could get my hands on since as young as eye can remember.
A musician, a chef, an herbalist, a farmer, a graphic designer, mixed media artist, space holder, meditation teacher, the list of crafts I have worked to develop is ever expanding, and now a sacred body embellisher.
The way of the calling is to create substance that nourishes the masses. After designing all of the tattoos on my own body and for many others, I felt the deepest pull to reemerge the ceremonial art form of tattooing.

I am ever inspired by the Great Mystery of life. By the whispers of Great Spirit through the Wind, the Waters, the rays of Sun, the patters in the soil, the notions of the breath. I am inspired by the in between spaces,
the weaving of polarities, the Yin and Yang, the darkness and the light, the stillness and the chaos, the creation that is born from destruction.
That is what my art work represents.
When I channel design, it isn't about me. It isn't about what I want or what I feel is right. That is the beauty of this practice of channel design I have been cultivating over the last decade. It is about what the moment is calling for. It is about stepping out of ego's desire for perfection and embodying trust in flow. Trust in the uncomfortable, trust in the unknown. Deepening our trust that new path ways can take us to ever more beautiful insights when we let go of control.
I wanted to create a space for tattoos to breathe life again. Where the art form of permanently imprinting skin could be intimate and ceremonial. Where each design is unique to each body. A safe space for each body to speak their truth and utilize their breath to alchemize their intentions.

Please read through all the information provided on this page before booking an appointment. Read through the FAQ section so you have a full understanding of what type of body art session this is.

The form below is to request an appointment. You will receive a confirmation of your appointment time and date within 24 hours, at which time you will need to make a $150 deposit to confirm your appointment. The deposit will go towards the sum of your entire session. Each session is $300 for two hours, any additional hour of co-creation is $100. I can not quote an exact time as each session is very unique and several factors affect the session length. Please refer to FAQ for what to keep in mind for time estimating.
When scheduling your appointment, make sure you have at least an additional 2 hours of time blocked out in case your appointment runs over the initial 2 hours. Breaks during your session are of course welcomed, but the artwork can not be started in one day and finished in a session another day.
Sessions are currently being held in downtown Hilo, Hawai'i.

Is there an age requirement?
You must be 18 years of age with a valid ID present at the time of your session.
No exceptions.
What payment forms are accepted?
What if I have to cancel my session?Is the deposit refundable?
Cash is preferred. I also accept venmo,
apple pay, zelle, and paypal (2.9% fee).
If you have to cancel your session for any reason 48 hours is required for a refund of $100 of your deposit. If I am traveling to you 72 hour cancellation notice is required.
If you would like to reschedule please email me with the same time frame notice and your deposit will be applied to the new appointment. Last minute cancelations and no shows will NOT receive a deposit refund.
Will you tattoo a design I already have?
No. The sessions being offered here through New Myth Ink are a unique experience. I am not a walk in tattoo shop. These are ceremonial sessions. Each piece of art work is channeled in the moment. I will only work with my own original creations.
What if I don't like anything you design during the session?
I am happy to play with designs during your session until you feel inspired by something within reason. Please keep in mind additional alterations of any design and alterations of size placement when stenciling on your body will add to your session time. The deposit is NOT refundable if you decide not to get a tattoo during the session. A lot of time, energy, and preparation go into setting the container space for your session and safety. Please respect both of our times.
How long does each session last?
Every session starts with a minimum of two hours. An average session is about 3-4 hours long. Factors that affect session length, your decisiveness. It is extremely important to me that you are 1000% happy, nourished, and fulfilled with the placement, size, thickness of your design, with that in mind the more alterations you request just means the longer the process may take. How many breaks you need to take during the tattoo and the size of the final design will also affect time.
Will you channel design over an existing tattoo? Will you do cover ups?
Preferably no, but I am open to hearing your ideas, desires with the transformation of old work, and seeing a clear picture of the piece you would like covered and its body placement. (Please do not send any explicit photography/videography. If your art work is near or on any sensitive body parts, please blur those parts in the pictures.)
There is an additional $150 fee for any of my channel designs to cover an existing piece. This is because the session will run slightly different and it will take more time to pre sketch out a flow of movement that will effectively blend the two designs.
Do you travel off island?
I mainly work on the Island of Hawai'i where I am licensed to tattoo. If I have 3 or more appointment requests for the same month, I will fly over to any of the Hawaiian Islands.
How do I show up prepared for the session?
Please make sure you have a valid ID.
Paid your deposit in full.
Print out or email sign the consent forms that were emailed to you during your appointment confirmation.
Do not arrive intoxicated by alcohol or any mind altering substances.
Come with an open heart and mind.
Please be mindful of personal hygiene.
